I think when I’m retired I’ll choose to spend my time wherever my family is. Likely somewhere in Canada. Apart from that, I’d love to spend my twilight in a lovely stone house in the English or Welsh countryside. It’s not too warm that I’d worry about dying in the event of a brownout (Florida) and there’s not much of any sort of extreme weather to deal with either. I suppose it’s a lot like Vancouver, but more British than Columbian.
